RCP and SpecialMade Prevail at McCormick Place
Winchester, Va. (August 22, 2002) – Rubbermaid Commercial Products recently combined efforts with SpecialMade Goods & Services to secure a substantial waste container business at Chicago’s McCormick Place. A spin-off company of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, SpecialMade is a fulfillment service provider for RCP that customizes products with screen printing and other product modifications. In this case, SpecialMade imprinted special color waste containers with the McCormick Place logo. Over the next 2 years, McCormick plans to place a significant selection of Rubbermaid waste and cigarette disposal containers throughout the grounds and parking facilities.
With 2.2 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space, McCormick Place is the largest convention facility in North America and hosts national shows such as the National Hardware Show, National Manufacturing Week, National Restaurant Show, World of Wheels, and the International Hardware Show. After completion of $987 million in expansion and renovations, McCormick Place chose RCP products above several leading competitors.
