Dual Suction System™ Lightweight Vacuum From Rubbermaid Doubles Cleaning Strength With Half The Weight
Winchester, Va. (May 01, 2002) – Commercial-grade vacuums can weigh as much as 22 pounds (9.1 kg), making them difficult for small-statured workers to push, pull, and lift. A vacuum’s weight can contribute to worker fatigue, lead to muscular injury, and reduce overall productivity.
Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) offers a solution to the problem of heavy commercial vacuums: the new Dual Suction System™ Lightweight Vacuum. It weighs only 9.0 pounds (4.1 kg) excluding the cord. At half the weight of many commercial vacuums, it is easy to operate, lift, transport, and store. Its 6-amp motor is more powerful than competitive lightweight models for cleaning both carpeted and hardwood floors. The dual fan suction system provides two dirt paths and excellent edge cleaning. A wide 13" (33 cm) cleaning path covers more floor faster than standard widths.
Rubbermaid’s Lightweight Vacuum has an ergonomic handle that provides a secure grip for user comfort and a built-in on/off switch to eliminate continual bending. The Quick Cord Wrap on the front of the vacuum is larger and easier to use than traditional cord wraps, and the top-zipper polypropylene bag facilitates removal and replacement of the dirt bag.
Other high-performance features include a post-motor filter that helps capture carbon dust released by the motor during use, and a patented Hair Cutter™ feature that cuts hair and other fibers into lengths that will safely pass through intakes without clogging. The easy pivot handle design ensures the brush roll is lifted to protect floors when the handle is in the upright position and engages the floor when the handle is lowered.
