New Safety Cone And Barricade System From Rubbermaid Offers Versatile Solution For Raising Hazard Awareness

Winchester, Va. (February 19, 2002) – Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) introduces a new Safety Cone and Barricade System that offers multiple options for hazard awareness. Developed to help prevent costly slip, trip, and fall accidents, Rubbermaid’s new Safety Cone and Barricade System helps eliminate the problems of hard-to-use tape and hard-to-transport barriers.

The system’s core component is a specially designed Safety Cone that accommodates a range of accessories for varying demands. Optional accessories include a flashing hazard light, a lock-in sign holder, a barrier chain, and weight rings for extra stability. The four-sided 25" or 36" Safety Cones have rounded corners, a bright yellow color that meets OSHA standards, and striking red and black graphics permanently hot stamped in a choice of messages. Selected cones are available in lime green for areas where yellow may be less effective. RCP Safety Cones require minimum storage space when stacked and can be easily transported on a Square Brute® Dolly.

Also included in the new line are Safety Cones with special functions. A Mobile Safety Cone easily transports one or several cones. An Over-The-Spill™ Safety Cone dispenses perforated, ultra-absorbent pads for cleaning spills while warning of slippery surfaces. The Portable Barricade System provides a weighted Safety Cone with self-retracting 7’ x 2" adjustable belt for outlining a restricted area.

The Safety Cone and Barricade System significantly expands Rubbermaid’s hazard awareness product offering. Other safety products from Rubbermaid include a Hanging Safety Sign, Floor Signs, and a complete Over-The-Spill™ System.
