Rubbermaid® Over-The-Spill System™ Adds An Extra Layer of Safety and Security
Winchester, Va. (December 10, 2001) – The Over-The-Spill System from Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) is designed to prevent slip-and-fall injuries that can lead to lawsuits. The Over-The-Spill System consists of a Station Kit, Station Pads, and Pad Tablet. The pads are designed to be removed and placed on liquid spills in a restaurant, supermarket or retail environment.
With slip-and-fall accidents costing a company an average of $60,000 per incident, according to the National Floor Safety Institute, the Over-The-Spill Pads are designed to immediately alert people to a hazard. Each bright yellow pad is clearly marked with the universal caution symbol, and carry the "CAUTION-Wet Floor" statement in English and Spanish. For added strength and absorbency, the pads are engineered of melt-blown polypropylene. They resist mildew and chemical attack, and come in two sizes; medium pads that absorb up to 12 ounces and large pads that absorb up to 16 ounces of liquid such as water, oil and most solvents.
The Over-The-Spill Station is a dispensing unit constructed of corrugated plastic, which can also be easily mounted on any flat surface. The unit accommodates both medium and large pads. The Over-The-Spill Pad Tablet mounts easily onto Rubbermaid® Floor Signs (6112, 6114) or any flat surface, and holds medium size perforated tear-off pads.
Both products send the message that a company is committed to safety and helps prevent potentially dangerous situations.
