Rubbermaid Commercial Names Vice Presidents of Sales and Marketing
Winchester, Va. (January 02, 2001) – Mike Moorefield, president of Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP), has announced the appointment of two vice presidents to the organization.
Bob Gail, 49, was named vice president of Sales. John Wright, 45, was appointed to the post of vice president of Marketing. Both appointments are effective immediately.
"RCP has developed a five-year plan that includes some rigorous sales and marketing goals. I am confident that Bob and John, who have had very successful careers at RCP, will achieve and even exceed those goals," said Moorefield, who held the position of vice president of sales until he was appointed to his new post last month.
Employed by Rubbermaid since 1981, Gail started his career in Accounting at the company’s corporate headquarters in Wooster, Ohio. He joined the commercial products division in 1983 as a management information systems team leader. Later, he worked as the manager of the customer service and sales administration office and as the national accounts manager for the Food Service Division.
Most recently, Gail served as sales director of the South Central Region. Prior to joining Rubbermaid, Gail worked for NCR Corporation and Ernst & Winney, an accounting firm. Gail earned his business degree from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. He lives in Winchester with his wife, Robin, and their son, Andy.
Wright has worked with RCP since 1991 and has held various positions, including national sales manager of the Industrial Channel, vice president of National Accounts, group product manager and team leader of Waste Systems Products. Before being promoted to his new position, Wright was the director of new business development. Wright worked previously as director of marketing for Greenfield Industries, a cutting tool manufacturer.
A graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa., Wright earned his MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University. John and his wife, Jennie, live in Winchester with their three children, Cady, Will and Hannah.
