Rubbermaid Unveils New Microfiber Cleaning System

Commercial Products division shows new line to healthcare industry.

WINCHESTER, VA. (September 9, 2005) - Rubbermaid Commercial Products today announced that they will unveil their new Microfiber Cleaning System at this year’s ASHES (American Society of Healthcare Environmental Services) show, Phoenix Civic Plaza, Phoenix, AZ, September 26 - 27, 2005.

Microfiber technology is displacing traditional cleaning tools in medical facilities at a rapid pace. Chief among its advantages: reduction of risk of cross contamination incurred in cleaning processes, reduction in amount of cleaning chemicals required, reduced strain on cleaning staff, and greater cleaning effectiveness. Bill Slezak, Rubbermaid’s Healthcare Industry Manager, explained, "While there has been some resistance to changing cleaning methods, microfiber’s advantages are undisputed. With Rubbermaid’s new healthcare cleaning system, we’ve made it very easy for our customers to adopt microfiber cleaning."

This year’s ASHES show will feature a seminar on microfiber cleaning - Cleaning Is Believing - to be conducted by Judy Cline, industry expert and Rubbermaid’s Director of Microfiber Cleaning.
